Lakawon Island Resort and Spa is a luxury beach resort located in Cadiz Viejo province of Negros Occidental. This banana-shaped island off the coast of Cadiz is home of TawHai, the biggest floating bar in Asia. Lakawon Island Resort is scattered across 16 hectares of white sand with different accommodations to choose from.

The place is perfect for prenup shoot, beach wedding, destination wedding and different events. As a freelance hairstylist I was able to visit Lakawon because of the nature of my work. As a Negrense i wasn’t able to visit the place until this June 2018 during the prenup of our client. thank God I was able to experience Lakawon.

Aside from swimming the resort also offers some water activities like snorkeling, boating and jet skiing. At the momentmomen is no recreational activities in the island. Lakawon is just perfect for relaxation and unwinding.

In my opinion Lakawon is affordable. One of the reason is that visitors can share a boat ride going to the island. There is no need to rent a boat that would cost 1000+. All you have to do is to come early to Catch the early trip and enjoy the island for the whole day. I think day tour would be enough for those who has a limited time. But if you have all the time in world why not spending a night right? Lakawon is so romantic at night trust me!
